In addition to Gray's 19 years of experience in all aspects of Criminal Defense, Civil Rights, Consitutional Law, and Bar Admissions & Discipline, Gray is one of a select few of Florida Bar Board Certified specialists in Appellate Law. He graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, and he received his law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida.

Before opening his own firm in December of 2011, Gray practiced with the renowned boutique criminal defense and civil rights firm, Sheppard, White, Thomas & Kachergus.
